In Babysitters you play a successful photographer (Mike, but you can rename the MC) whose wife wants to go back to work now that their son is no longer a newborn. Said wife also comes with a bratty daughter from a former marriage.
As neither the MC nor the wife wants to stay at home fulltime, the MC naturally hires a young good looking babysitter of the female persuasion for their child and...I think you can see where this is going.
As my relatively brief synopsis may portend, Babysitters isn't spinning out page turning plot. Chances are you've seen these scenarios played out before. What it does do well is provide meaningful consequences for your choices, allowing you to build an MC in many flavors, with many combinations of relationships. This freedom paired with some engaging side characters allows the writing to punch well above its weight. The game also does a much better than typical job of allowing characters to have meaningful interactions away from the MC, which makes the scenarios you step into feel more lived in and impactful. The art is consistently above average, and male characters are less embarassing then one all too often sees in AVNs. Themes trend towards more toward naughty then dark, and while the game blessedly does not shy away from many kinks, I think only very vanilla players would find it particularly challenging to their sensibilities.
Babysitters isn't breaking new ground, it's just executing the stories and themes we are familiar with at an incredibly high level.
Babysitters saw some good content filling in the various paths, although no earthshaking events or cliffhangers are setting up any real narrative tension. Several good sex scenes were added.
