Synopsis
Long Story Short is the story of a gamer/slacker (Ben, but the MC can be renamed) who is drifting in life until he reconnects with his old best friend Joe, and Joe's mischievous girlfriend Vanessa.
From this inciting event the MC will start getting out into the world, meeting new potential conquests, allies, and enemies. How he navigates his awakening will be up to the player, and your choices will be quite consequential.
There's also the matter of the mysterious girl who he's relating his story to. What's her angle?
This is a game full of interesting choices. Choose wisely.
The Review
Long Story Short is a game that is refreshingly lean in how it navigates its storytelling vs. its lewd content. Characters are developed and given strong personalities and goals, and the different paths are divergent enough to provide real replayability...but the game does not slow role some great sex scenes, or keep them gate behind the stale formula of hj, bj, vag, anal type progression. This is a game that knows how to deliver some truly hot content without sacrificing storytelling elements. The overall plot, on the other hand, is a bit scattershot. But it's early enough that there is still time to pull that element together. In terms of art it's also worth mentioning that the LIs are both stunning and unique, clearly a lot of time was invested in their creation. Background work is proficient as well, and doesn't detract, while not quite being up to the standard of the ladies. Long Story Short features some strong corruption content, but otherwise the fetishes and themes aren't overly dark, and shouldn't put off any but the most vanilla of players. A social media component is also well integrated into the game, although it becomes a bit cumbersome on replays.
If you're looking for some top tier characters and hot scenes, you can't do much better than Long Story Short.
Q1 2025 Update
This is going to be one of my shorter updates. Recent development on Long Story Short has been focused on making it available on Steam. A laudable goal, and one which will hopefully provide a steady revenue stream. However, because there hasn't been a content heavy update in 9 months, I have no additional information to add since my last update.
